Neuer Extends With Bayern Munich Until 2027

FC Bayern München plans to continue with Manuel Neuer for another season, following the club’s announcement that his contract has been extended until June 30, 2027. The commitment applies equally to backup goalkeeper Sven Ulreich.

Speaking on Friday, FC Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen highlighted the significance of the deal, stating, “Manuel Neuer was one of the best transfers in our club’s history”. He added that as the team embarks on its 16th season together, the fact that Neuer will play in nearly 600 matches speaks volumes about his exceptional importance. Dreesen further praised both keepers, describing Ulreich as “reliability personified” and predicting that the duo together will be “for the history books”.

Neuer himself responded to the official statement, saying, “I took time to make this decision, and I am very happy now. All the prerequisites are in place: we can beat anyone with this team, and I go to Säbener Straße every day with enjoyment and deliver my best performance”.
