VfB Stuttgart announced on Friday that they have extended the contract of their midfielder, Nikolas Nartey. The 26-year-old’s new deal will keep him with the club until June 30, 2028.
Nartey has made a significant contribution to the club this season, featuring in 37 competitive matches across all competitions, during which time he has scored three goals and provided four assists. His career progression includes an international debut for the Danish national team in March 2026. Originally from Cologne, Nartey first joined VfB in 2019 from 1. FC Köln, and his early career also involved loan spells at Hansa Rostock and SV Sandhausen.
Club Sporting Director Fabian Wohlgemuth praised Nartey’s journey, noting his resilience following several setbacks due to injuries. The player himself expressed his happiness with the extension, making sure to acknowledge the constant support of the fanbase. Among his biggest achievements with the club was securing the DFB Cup title in 2025.
