Ukraine was reportedly attacked by hundreds of Russian drones on Wednesday. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that at least 800 Russian drones had been launched since midnight, resulting in the deaths of at least six people and dozens of injuries.
Throughout the day, Russian forces allegedly fired Shahed drones, specifically targeting regions located close to NATO member states’ borders. Reported strikes were recorded in Transcarpathia, the Lviv region, Volhynia, as well as the Ivano-Frankivsk and Rivne regions.
Zelensky added that he does not believe the timing of this major Russian attack-described as one of the longest-is a coincidence, particularly because it occurred while the President of the United States was visiting China. He accused Russia of plainly trying to disrupt the general geopolitical climate and divert attention to its malicious intentions, all at the cost of Ukrainian lives and infrastructure.
