According to the Koblenz Police Headquarters, the police are currently dealing with a hostage situation at a bank in Sinzig, located in the Rhineland-Palatinate region. The police believe there are multiple perpetrators and several hostages involved. Notably, the driver of a cash transport vehicle is also among those being held captive.

Police representatives confirmed that the situation on site is currently stable. Extensive cordoning measures are being put in place to ensure the safety of the public. They emphasized that, according to the most recent reports, there is no danger to people outside the established police cordon.
