Federal Investigations Target 36 Suspects in Right-Wing Extremism Rings

On Wednesday morning, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office conducted searches at approximately 50 locations across twelve German federal states. These actions followed decisions issued by the investigating judge at the Federal Court of Justice.

The searches targeted a total of 36 suspects, who are suspected of being members of the right-extremist groups “Jung & Stark” and “Deutsche Jugend Voran”. According to the Federal Prosecutor General, these organizations have been operating nationwide since mid-2024.

The investigations took place across various regions, including Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Hessen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Niedersachsen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Schleswig-Holstein. Authorities accuse the suspects of being members of a criminal association, with allegations that some acted while legally considered minors or young adults. Additionally, several individuals are suspected of acting as ring leaders.

Investigators suspect that members of the two groups incited violence against political opponents and against individuals perceived as paedophiles. Furthermore, some suspects are alleged to have previously committed attacks against members of the leftist scene or against persons the group considered paedophiles. The goal of today’s raids is to investigate and clarify these existing suspicions. To date, no arrests have been made.
