Police Raids Target Right-Wing Youth Groups Across Germany

On Wednesday morning, police conducted raids and searches in several cities in response to suspected members of the right-wing extremist groups “Deutsche Jugend Voran” and “Jung und Stark”. The general state prosecutor has accused both organizations of forming criminal associations.

The searches took place across North Rhine-Westphalia and affected a total of eight cities. The operations targeted ten male German citizens, with a significant focus placed specifically on the group “Jung und Stark”. Information regarding the investigation was also provided by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV).

One of the men detained was reportedly already in custody due to unrelated criminal matters. Contextually, this crackdown comes amid an increase in violence by very young neo-Nazis since 2024, particularly evidenced during attacks targeting Christopher Street Day parades. Previously, the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) noted that new youth groups within the right-wing scene are becoming increasingly visible due to organized demonstrations, disruptive actions, and related criminal offenses.
