During the debate over the 2027 federal budget, the entrepreneurial association Wirtschaftsforum der SPD is demanding that concrete details be established. Ines Zenke, President of the SPD Wirtschaftsforum, stated to the Funke Media Group newspapers that while the preliminary guidelines presented so far confirm that budget consolidation is indeed the correct objective, it is equally important to note that the actual measures for achieving consolidation must be detailed in the coming process.
Zenke emphasized that both businesses and citizens rightfully expect full clarification regarding how and where specific savings will be achieved. She argued that all relevant government departments must contribute to this effort. Looking ahead, she stressed that the next phase will require placing highly targeted initiatives to successfully restore confidence in Germany as a major economic location.
