The Union and the SPD are reportedly planning to continue their reform discussions on May 12th during another meeting of the coalition committee. According to the “Rheinische Post”, citing sources within the coalition, discussions are expected to cover future projects as well as the effectiveness of decisions already made. For instance, the gas discount, which is set to take effect on May 1st for two months, is anticipated to be a topic of conversation. Furthermore, reports from the coalition indicate that detailed discussions about the precise framework for reforms-specifically in the areas of healthcare and care-are taking place outside of the main coalition committee meetings.
