Analysts suggest that this promotional effort reflects an ongoing attempt by Trump to portray the U.S. as a stable and superior energy source. This positioning aims both to decrease uncertainty in the global oil market and to direct demand toward American exports. The President finds himself in a complex situation: on one hand, he has a significant interest in keeping global energy prices low to manage domestic inflation; yet, on the other hand, major U.S. oil producers recently profited from the price hikes spurred by the Iran crisis. Recently, as the situation has eased, global oil and gas prices have fallen sharply.
