Johannes Oerding’s new album, “”Hotel”” has risen to the top spot on Germany’s official album charts, announced by GfK on Thursday. It marks the singer‑songwriter’s third number‑one release, following ””Konturen”” and ””Plan A””.
BTS’s ””Arirang”” which was the chart‑topping album the previous week, has slipped to second place. Behind it sit Raye’s ””This Music May Contain Hope”” at number three, BAP’s ””Paar Daach spääder”” in fourth position, and Die Ärzte’s ””Nach uns die Sintflut”” at number five.
In the singles chart, Zara Larsson tops with ””Lush Life”” at number one, followed by Dominic Fike’s ””Babydoll”” at number two, and BTS’s ””Swim”” holding the third spot.
The rankings are compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the Bundesverband Musikindustrie and represent 90 percent of all music sales in Germany.
