A three‑person death was discovered Sunday in a single‑family house in Pommelsbrunn, a town in the Nürnberger Land district of Mittelfranken. Police from the region reported the finding. A witness had earlier that morning suspected a homicide and called the authorities. Patrolling units from the Hersbruck, Lauf an der Pegnitz, and Altdorf bei Nürnberg police inspections arrived around 11:20 a.m. and found the three bodies. The fire department secured the scene extensively. In addition to ambulance crews and the emergency physician, personnel from the psychosocial emergency service (PSNV) were also dispatched.
The victims, according to police, were a 51‑year‑old German man, a 51‑year‑old German‑Greek woman, and their 10‑year‑old German daughter. The Schwabach criminal investigation department has taken over the case. Initial findings indicate no evidence of a second perpetrator. The murder commission is carrying out the investigation in close coordination with the Nuremberg‑Fürth public prosecutor’s office.
