After Twitter laid off roughly half of its staff following its acquisition by billionaire Elon Musk, the company is now contacting dozens of them to return to their previous positions.
As reported, some of these workers were wrongfully dismissed.
Until others were fired before new management realized their work and experience might be needed to build the new features Musk envisions.
“Twitter recently laid off 50 percent of its staff, including those in the inner circle and security,” said the company’s head of security, Yoel Roth.
Twitter has already updated its app on the AppStore to start charging $8 to anyone who wants to verify their profile on the network.
