In Germany, more than 500 far‑right extremists are being sought with outstanding arrest warrants. This information came from the German interior ministry’s response to a parliamentary question raised by the Green faction in the Bundestag, which the “Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland” newspapers reported.
According to the ministry, as of the latest cut‑off date-30 September 2025-there were 688 arrest warrants for 515 individuals linked to the far‑right scene. At the same time, 185 so‑called “Reichsbürger and self‑administered” individuals were sought under a total of 242 open warrants.
The ministry also provided figures on far‑right criminal activity for 2025. Nationwide police recorded 36,951 criminal incidents, of which 1,395 involved violence. In 2024, the total number of incidents was 42,788, with 1,488 violent offences, slightly higher than the current year.
Parliamentary manager of the Greens’ Bundestag group, Irene Mihalic, stressed that there is no sign of a calm down. “Nearly 37,000 incidents illustrate how massive the problem remains. Six attempted murders and around 1,400 violent incidents confirm the unwavering readiness for violence in the scene” she told the RND. “The Interior Minister must act decisively. Outstanding arrest warrants should not keep piling up; they must be executed. The same applies to disarming far‑right actors”.
Mihalic also called for a firmer approach against Reichsbürger. “Behind quirky organisations such as Bismarcks Erben hide far‑right and antisemitic actors who reject our state” she said.
