Federal Health Minister Nina Warken (CDU) welcomed the revisions to the disputed midwives‑assistance contract.
Speaking to the “Rheinische Post” (Wednesday edition), she said that reaching an agreement on a change to the contract was “good news” and a clear sign of the self‑governance’s ability to act.
Warken noted that in several discussions she was convinced that both parties are focused on viable solutions that promote high‑quality birth care.
She added her thanks to everyone involved for their goal‑oriented commitment, and she specifically praised the midwives for their dedication supporting women, children, and families.
