Stuttgart capped the 26th matchday of the Bundesliga with a 1-0 win over RB Leipzig.
From the opening whistle both teams pushed the pace. Stuttgart gradually built more possession dominance as the game progressed, yet Leipzig’s Christoph Baumgartner had the most promising chance to take the lead, only to slot his shot over the penalty area.
After halftime Leipzig again produced a notable opportunity. Stuttgart’s goalkeeper Alexander Nübel narrowly redirected a header from Nicolas Seiwald into the post. Moments later, Deniz Undav capitalised on a mistake by RB’s goalkeeper Marten Vandevoort – who, during a build‑up play, inadvertently set up Chris Füllich – and scored the decisive goal. Stuttgart consolidated the advantage for the rest of the match, holding a composed lead against a Leipzig side that proved too passive to mount a comeback.
With this victory Stuttgart moves further ahead of RB Leipzig in the standings and gains on points with third‑placed TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
