The Redmi K60 series is already in the design verification stage and today a leaker has made public an important detail about the low-end version of these smartphones.
The Xiaomi Redmi K60 will be powered by a chip called Dimensity 8200.
The Redmi K60 will also retain the 48MP camera with OIS, while GSM Arena reports that they have no additional information on what the sensor will be, as 48MP sensors come in many different sizes.
In fact, this is the second time that details have emerged about the new chip from Mediatek, which is supposed to follow in the footsteps of the Dimensity 8100.
Yesterday, the same source claimed that the vivo iOQO Neo7 SE will run on the chip which is supposed to come with a 3.1 GHz Cortex-X2 CPU core – matching the current flagship Dimensity 9000 chipset.
The Redmi K60 is also expected to come with a QHD+ display, a 5,500mAh battery that supports 30W wireless and 67W wired charging.
Meanwhile, the Redmi boss asked his followers on Weibo if they would like a Dynamic Island-type solution, suggesting that Xiaomi’s sub-brand could adopt Apple’s unique interface.
