In a new Insa poll released by “Bild” in its Wednesday edition, just four days before the state election, the CDU in Baden Württemberg is only slightly ahead of the Greens in voter favour. 27 % of respondents said they would back the CDU, while 24 % intended to vote for the Greens.

The SPD remains at 9 %, and the FDP has 6 %, a figure that gives the party hope of regaining a seat in the Landtag. The AfD attracts 20 % support, and the Left draws 6 %.

According to the survey, 44 % of voters expect CDU candidate Manuel Hagel to emerge victorious, whereas 17 % foresee a win for Green candidate Cem Özdemir.

The poll interviewed 1,000 people online between 24 February and 3 March.
