1. FC Magdeburg has been handed disciplinary sanctions for the incidents that occurred during the match against Dynamo Dresden. The sports court imposed a total monetary fine of €186,600 and two partial spectator exclusions, one of which is suspended on probation.
On 24 January 2026, Magdeburg supporters caused trouble in several ways: they set off pyrotechnics, which led to a €126,600 fine, and they also clashed with police officers. The club must pay an additional €60,000 for those disturbances. In total, the club’s penalty amounts to €186,600.
The partial exclusions will take effect starting with the 26th round of the second division, on 13 March 2026, when Magdeburg plays at home against SV Darmstadt 98. During that match, sections 3 to 6 of the north stand will remain closed.
The club did not accept the original penalty request from the DFB Control Committee. However, it has chosen not to file any further appeals against the sports court’s final judgment, which is now legally binding.
