Hannover 96 secured a 1‑0 victory over Arminia Bielefeld on the 24th matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga. Enzo Leopold’s penalty in the 63rd minute proved decisive after Bielefeld’s keeper Kersken misplaced his dive, allowing the ball to slip straight into the net. Initially Bielefeld dominated, keeping Hannover largely in their own half, but as the game progressed the home side found rhythm, increased possession and created more chances. Despite Arminia’s efforts the visitors held a slim advantage, proving themselves more efficient.
In a separate fixture, Holstein Kiel and SV Elversberg ended their match 1‑1. Elversberg took the lead in the 61st minute through David Mokwa, only for Kiel to equalise two minutes later with a goal from Jonas Therkelsen.
Meanwhile, 1. FC Kaiserslautern fell 1‑2 to SC Paderborn 07. The first goal of the game came from a direct free‑kick by Calvin Brackelmann in stoppage time of the first half.
