Germany Tightens Travel Advisories for Middle East Amid Rising Tensions

The German federal government has tightened its travel and safety advisories for the Middle East.
A travel warning now covers Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, the Foreign Office said on Saturday after a crisis‑staff meeting.

In Iran a warning with an exit recommendation has been in effect since the fall of 2022. German diplomatic missions are staying in touch with German nationals in the country, and protective measures will be arranged for the diplomatic staff deployed by the Foreign Office.
