German Fuel Prices Reach Highest Level Since 2024

Fuel prices in Germany have recently surged to their highest levels since 2024. A new ADAC assessment shows that the nationwide average price for a litre of Super E10 has risen by 1.8 cents to 1.776 €. Diesel has increased even more sharply, climbing 2.9 cents to an average of 1.740 € per litre.

The ADAC also reports that fears of a new conflict in the Middle East have pushed crude‑oil prices higher in recent days. Brent crude has risen by roughly four dollars from the previous week, trading just under 71 US $ per barrel.

A key factor in the current oil‑price dynamics is the Strait of Hormuz. So far, crude‑oil shipments from the region have not been disrupted, and Iranian exports remain at high volume. However, a war between Iran and the United States could alter this situation.
