For the first time in 80 years, the US has mobilized and moved to Europe the elite 101st Airborne Division “Screaming Eagles”, consisting of 4,700 troops.
As reported, the division was deployed in Romania a few kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
These forces are said to be specially trained to deploy to any battlefield in the world within hours. “Ready to fight”.
This division plans, coordinates and executes multiple air assault operations of various sizes.
On Friday, it was reported that NATO decided to create four new battle groups in Southeast Europe. The four battle groups, which are still being assembled, will be deployed in Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia.
As Russia’s attack on Ukraine continues, NATO has strengthened its presence along its eastern flank.
