Volkswagen fell short of its internal factory‑cost targets in all German production plants in 2025. A company spokesperson said Volkswagen is “on a good track” to meet the agreed objectives, provided that measures are fully implemented by the end of 2026. Annual plant costs have fallen by roughly 30 % compared to the previous year, though the firm did not disclose specific target figures.
