Price‑adjusted orders in the main construction sector rose by 8.5 percent in November 2025 compared with October 2025 after calendar‑ and season‑adjustment.
According to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on Friday, the November 2025 orders increased by 7.2 percent in building construction and by 10.1 percent in civil engineering. On a less volatile three‑month basis, the calendar‑ and season‑adjusted orders from September 2025 to November 2025 were 3.8 percent higher than in the preceding three months (building construction: +5.1 percent; civil engineering: +2.6 percent).
When compared with the same month last year, the real, calendar‑adjusted orders in the main construction sector grew by 4.1 percent in November 2025. In building construction the orders rose 9.5 percent, while in civil engineering they fell 0.4 percent. The nominal (non‑price‑adjusted) orders were 5.9 percent above the previous‑year level.
Real sales in the main construction sector were 4.3 percent higher in November 2025 compared with the same month last year. Nominal sales increased by 6.8 percent during the same period, reaching €12.3 billion.
For the first eleven months of 2025, real sales rose 2.1 percent over the previous year’s period, while nominal sales grew 4.6 percent.
The number of people employed in the main construction sector was 1.3 percent higher in November 2025 than in the corresponding month last year, according to the statisticians.
