AfD Eyes Own German Radio Station

The AfD is exploring the possibility of launching its own radio station in Germany. Party leaders are expected to receive a proposal soon and discuss the concept. The group plans to model the new station on the recently launched web radio “Austria First” which belongs to the Austrian FPÖ.

According to a party spokesperson quoted by Bild in its Thursday edition, the AfD follows the FPÖ’s project with great interest and is in contact with the initiators. “We are currently developing concepts for similar projects, but the outcome is still uncertain” the spokesperson added.

“Austria First” has been broadcasting since January 17. Its programming mainly consists of music, news updates, and political commentary from FPÖ politicians.
