When talking about cyber attacks undertaken by Iran, it seems that the latter also falls into the trap of hackers.
Iran’s state television was hacked while it was broadcasting a live news bulletin.
The broadcast was interrupted for a few seconds in protest against the country’s leader.
A mask appeared on the screen, followed by an image of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei with flames around him. Photos of Mahsa Amini and three other women killed in recent protests were shown.
One of the captions read “join us and stand up”, while another said “the blood of our youth is dripping from your paws”.
The group that took this step calls itself “Adalat Ali”, or Ali’s Justice.
The incident comes after at least three people were shot dead when protesters clashed with security forces.
Riots have erupted in the country following the death of Mahsa Amini, who was jailed for not wearing the hijab properly.
Her death has caused an unprecedented wave of protests not only in Iranian cities but also in many countries of the world.
