Police in Kabul say an explosion at an education center in the Afghan capital has killed at least 19 people and wounded many others.
The explosion occurred at the Kaaj educational center in the Dashte Barchi area west of the city.
The students had been in a practical exam at the university, officials from the center said.
Many of those living in the area are from the Hazara minority, which has been the target of attacks in the past. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The spokesman for the Taliban’s interior ministry said that security teams have arrived at the scene.
Abdul Nafy Takor said that the attack on civilian targets “proves the inhuman cruelty of the enemy and the lack of moral standards”.
The Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan last August, and the group says it is trying to restore stability.
However, attacks by rival Islamists of the Islamic State have continued.
