Nearly 66,000 Russian citizens have entered the countries of the European Union, according to the border agency Frontex.
Russians are fleeing to neighboring countries to avoid a partial mobilization ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Kazakhstan earlier said 98,000 Russians had entered the country since the announcement.
The number of Russians heading to the EU has increased by 30 percent in a week, with the majority arriving in Finland and Estonia.
“Frontex estimates that illegal border crossings are likely to increase if the Russian Federation decides to close the border to potential recruits,” the border agency announced.
Otherwise, Putin has ordered the mobilization of 300,000 Russian reserve soldiers after the failures in Ukraine.
