While earlier it was reported that the destructive power of the earthquake that hit Mexico today was 7.4 on the Richter scale, experts in the field now say that it was actually 7.7.
On the other side of the powerful tremors, one person is reported to have lost his life, while material damage has begun to be documented with various amateur videos.
In one video, a group of tourists are seen in a forest area, when the ground begins to shake and everything around them shakes. And in other scenes, motor vehicles moved sideways as if they were children’s toys.
This earthquake is considered one of the most powerful that has hit anywhere in the world this year. Similar earthquakes had hit Mexico in 1985 and 2017.
From the destructive power of this earthquake, a multi-storey building can be seen swaying so easily that an entire hospital has been leveled to the ground.
