A new online portal designed to gather feedback from citizens regarding bureaucratic processes is set to launch in Germany by the end of the year. The initiative, spearheaded by Federal Minister for Digital and State Modernization, Karsten Wildberger (CDU), aims to facilitate direct input from the public on areas of concern and potential solutions within government operations.
The portal, previously indicated by State Secretary Philipp Amthor (CDU), will provide a dedicated channel for citizens to voice their frustrations, suggest improvements and offer insights into inefficiencies they encounter. Minister Wildberger confirmed he has already tested a second iteration of the platform and emphasized ongoing efforts to enhance its user-friendliness, with potential future integration of artificial intelligence.
The primary objective is to leverage citizen feedback to inform prioritization efforts and develop practical solutions. While acknowledging the limitations in addressing every reported issue, officials stated a commitment to transparency and providing updates on the progress of implementation. This active engagement is intended to provide a collaborative process, allowing citizens to directly influence government modernization efforts and contribute to prioritizing areas for action. Regular feedback on implementation status will be provided as part of this engagement.
