The executive board of VfB Stuttgart has confirmed the departure of Rouven Kasper, who will join FC Bayern Munich, effective January 1st, 2026. The decision follows the approval of an early contract termination by the supervisory board of VfB Stuttgart 1893 AG, announced on Monday.
Kasper has been a member of the VfB executive board since January 2022 and played a significant role in restructuring the club’s approach to sponsorship, internationalization, marketing and sales. Prior to his time with VfB, the 43-year-old previously held the position of “President Asia” for FC Bayern Munich, a role he will now return to.
Dietmar Allgaier, chairman of the VfB supervisory board, stated that Kasper’s request was granted in recognition of his substantial contributions to the club. Kasper himself expressed that the decision was a difficult one, but he departs with confidence in the future trajectory of VfB Stuttgart.
