Hoffenheim Stadium Bans Overturned

A regional court in Heidelberg has overturned stadium bans imposed on two player agents by TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in two expedited legal proceedings. The court announced its decision on Friday, stating that the requested preliminary injunctions were partially granted, while the restrictions on access to the training grounds remain in place.

Roger W. and Dirk M. were initially banned from Hoffenheim’s stadium in early August following allegations that they insulted and threatened members of the club’s management. While the court’s 3rd Civil Chamber acknowledged the validity of these accusations, it deemed them insufficient grounds for a stadium ban. Judges reasoned that the incidents occurred several months prior and were not made publicly.

The rulings are not yet legally binding. Both parties have one month to appeal the decision to the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe. The bans prohibiting access to the private training facility will remain in effect, as no special justification was required for those restrictions.
