Gas Prices Inch Up

Fuel prices across Germany have seen a slight increase compared to the previous week, according to a recent assessment by the ADAC automotive club. Both gasoline and diesel have risen by 0.7 cents per liter. The average nationwide price for a liter of Super E10 currently stands at €1.667, while diesel is being sold for an average of €1.589 per liter.

This upward trend follows a previous decline in crude oil prices. After falling by three US dollars the week prior, a barrel of Brent crude is now trading at approximately $68. This represents a two-dollar increase compared to previous levels. Brent oil prices have largely remained within a range of $65 to $70 since the beginning of August, a period considered relatively stable compared to earlier weeks. The depreciation of the US dollar against the Euro has partially offset the rise in crude oil costs.
