The upcoming demonstration led by Sahra Wagenknecht, leader of the BSW party, scheduled for Saturday, is intended to be understood as a call for peace in Gaza, not as a protest against Israel, she stated in interviews with RTL and ntv on Friday.

Wagenknecht emphasized that the demonstration’s focus is on achieving peace within the Gaza Strip. While condemning the Hamas massacre and hostage-taking, she asserted that these actions do not justify the ongoing military actions in Gaza, where millions of people are reportedly being targeted through bombing campaigns, killings and displacement. She described the current military operations within Gaza as “barbaric warfare”.
