Eintracht Frankfurt Climbs to Second in Bundesliga Management Ranking

A recent study from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management reveals shifting dynamics in the operational quality of German Bundesliga clubs.

Eintracht Frankfurt has notably risen in the rankings, securing second place and increasingly challenging the traditionally dominant teams, researchers announced Friday. While FC Bayern Munich retains the top position, its lead is demonstrably shrinking.

According to study director Henning Zülch, overall management quality within the Bundesliga is improving. A growing trend of professionalization is evident amongst mid-table clubs, while those in the lower third of the league appear to be falling behind. Researchers also observed a heightened awareness of fan welfare amongst Bundesliga clubs following the stalled investor proposal earlier this year.

Despite substantial revenue generation, the financial foundations of the Bundesliga remain somewhat precarious, with growth largely reliant on player transfers. Zülch cautioned against over-dependence on short-term transfer gains, emphasizing that sustained success stems from focused youth development and the nurturing and retention of homegrown talent.
