A tragic traffic collision in the Reinhardswald forest overnight has claimed the lives of four individuals, North Hesse Police reported Friday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 0:30 AM on the L3229 country road, east of Reinhardshagen-Veckerhagen. A passenger vehicle, carrying four occupants, veered off the roadway for reasons currently under investigation and collided with trees after traveling approximately 30 meters. Despite immediate rescue efforts, all four passengers died at the scene.
The victims have been identified as a 32-year-old driver, a 31-year-old passenger and two female passengers aged 32 and 30. The road was completely closed to traffic during the investigation and recovery process. The Hofgeismar Police Station continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
