The Kremlin has released further details regarding the upcoming meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, scheduled to take place in Alaska. Multiple Russian news outlets report the summit is expected to begin at approximately 11:30 AM local time on Friday (3:30 PM German time).
The composition of the Russian delegation has also been announced. Accompanying President Putin will be Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Presidential Advisor Yuri Ushakov, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov and the President’s Special Envoy for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries, Kirill Dmitriev.
According to reports, each delegation will consist of five members for the primary negotiations, with additional “expert groups” also present on site. The conflict in Ukraine is anticipated to be the central focus of the discussions. A joint press conference featuring Presidents Putin and Trump is currently planned to follow the talks.
