Tuta Joins Qatar Club

Brazilian defender Tuta has completed a transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt to Qatari side Al-Duhail SC, the Bundesliga club announced on Monday.

The move marks the end of a significant chapter for Tuta, who joined Eintracht Frankfurt from FC Sao Paulo six and a half years ago. Following his initial arrival, he spent a year on loan to Belgian club KV Kortrijk, featuring in 18 matches.

Returning to Hessen in the summer of 2020, Tuta established himself as a key player for the Frankfurt side. Over his time with the club, he participated in 187 matches, scoring ten goals and providing three assists. Notably, he was instrumental in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Europa League victory in 2022.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s sporting director, Markus Krösche, acknowledged Tuta’s desire to move on and emphasized his importance to the club. “Tuta has been a vital part of our team in recent years and has made a significant contribution to Eintracht’s development and success during this period. We wish him all the best on his future path”.
