Norris Claims Hungary F1 Victory

A thrilling Hungarian Grand Prix saw McLaren’s Lando Norris secure a victory in Budapest, marking a significant moment for the team. His teammate, Oscar Piastri, followed closely in second place, delivering a one-two finish for McLaren, while George Russell of Mercedes claimed the final spot on the podium.

The race was characterized by a captivating internal duel between Piastri and Norris, with the pair trading positions throughout the majority of the event. Pole-sitter Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, despite a strong start, faced challenges in maintaining his lead. Piastri displayed considerable aggression until the final lap, steadily closing the gap to Norris, although he was ultimately unable to overtake.

Behind the leading trio, the points-scoring positions were filled by Leclerc, Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), Gabriel Bortoleto (Sauber), Lance Stroll (Aston Martin) and Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls). Max Verstappen (Red Bull) secured two championship points in ninth place, with Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) earning a single point in tenth. The lone German driver, Nico Hülkenberg (Sauber), concluded the Grand Prix in 13th position.

The next race is scheduled to take place in the Netherlands in four weeks.
