Alex Warren continues his reign atop the German music scene, holding the number one spot on the official German single charts for a remarkable seventh consecutive week. The announcement, released Friday by GfK, confirms the continued popularity of Warren’s track “Ordinary.
Challenging Warren’s dominance are rising stars Amo and Aymen, whose collaborative single “Love All Night” secures second place, followed closely by Zartmann with “Tau mich auf” in third position.
The album charts witness a similar level of success. The soundtrack to the Netflix film “Kpop Demon Hunters” retains its position at the peak, demonstrating considerable listener engagement. Two tracks from the soundtrack, “Golden” and “Your Idol” also find placement within the single rankings, appearing at numbers four and 26 respectively.
Recent releases from rappers Samra (“Kareem”) and Cashmo (“Alman”) have significantly impacted the album charts, claiming the second and third slots, respectively. Scottish singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald’s latest release, “Is This What You`ve Been Waiting For” sits at number four, while Schlager music artist Jay Khan’s “Verdammt” rounds out the top five.
The official German charts are compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the Bundesverband Musikindustrie and are reported to account for 90% of all music sales within Germany.
