MHP, the Porsche subsidiary specializing in IT consulting, is implementing workforce reductions as part of a broader company transformation, according to CEO Federico Magno. In an interview with “Focus” magazine, Magno stated that the company will be releasing a “low three-digit” number of employees.
This restructuring is driven by a strategic shift within MHP. While the automotive sector remains a key area, the company is actively expanding its client base to encompass a wider range of industries on a global scale. These targeted sectors include aerospace, energy, semiconductors and artificial intelligence, reflecting a move towards what Magno termed “advanced industry”. He emphasized the company’s commitment to broadening its reach beyond traditional automotive clients.
Magno addressed speculation surrounding a potential divestiture of MHP by Porsche, firmly stating that Porsche remains supportive of the company’s “Strategy 2030”. He described Porsche as “an excellent partner and an excellent customer”. Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche, lauded Magno’s leadership, highlighting his impactful contributions to both Volkswagen and Porsche and expressing appreciation for his ongoing support and development. The changes are presented as an acceleration of the company’s ongoing transformation and a demonstration of strength.
