Jasmin Wagner Prefers Attending Festivals As A Guest

Singer Jasmin Wagner, known professionally as “Blümchen” maintains a deliberate separation between her performance career and personal life, consistently attending music festivals with friends while consciously avoiding on-stage appearances.

Speaking to the Rheinische Post, Wagner explained this as a self-imposed “mom rule” a way to reconnect with her life prior to motherhood following her decision to conclude her “Blümchen” career in November.

While expressing a strong desire to perform, Wagner finds value in stepping back from the spotlight. She describes the experience as a valuable opportunity to break from her comfort zone, embrace a more spontaneous lifestyle involving camping and outdoor activities and forge connections with fellow festival-goers. “It’s wonderful, it’s simply the best feeling of life” she stated.

Despite her impending retirement from the “Blümchen” moniker, Wagner is scheduled to perform at the “Parookaville” festival in Weeze in mid-July. She rose to prominence in the 1990s as a teenager with hits such as “Kleiner Satellit” and “Herz an Herz”. After initially ending the project in 2001, she revived the “Blümchen” persona in 2019.

Wagner indicated that her decision to retire was influenced by significant milestones, including her upcoming 30th anniversary on stage and approaching 45th birthday. She feels she has achieved everything she set out to accomplish during her second period as “Blümchen”.
