Oimara Tops Half-Year Charts

Oimara’s “Wackelkontakt” has emerged as the most successful single in Germany during the first six months of 2025.

According to the Official German Single Half-Year Charts 2025, compiled by GfK Entertainment, the singer-songwriter surpassed Musiker Zartmann with “Tau mich auf” (ranked second) and the duo ROSÉ & Bruno Mars with “APT”. (ranked third).

Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” secured the fourth position, while fellow German artist Gracie Abrams’ “That’s So True” landed at number five. German and German-speaking artists account for nearly half of the top 100 positions. Other notable German artists include reezy with “Sabía que no” (ranked ninth) and Nina Chuba with “Fata Morgana” (ranked tenth).

Linkin Park achieved the most popular album ranking between January and June by a significant margin. The rock group, currently touring Europe, had previously appeared on the 2024 year-end chart podium with their comeback album “From Zero”. Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard And Soft” was the second best-selling album of the first half of 2025.

National artists represent over a third of all album placements, spanning various genres. Schlager icon Roland Kaiser’s “Marathon” (ranked third) is among them, as is rapper Jazeek with “Most Valuable Playa” (ranked eighth), alongside singers Ayliva with “In Liebe” (ranked eleventh), Shirin David with “Schlau aber blond” (ranked twelfth) and Sarah Connor with “Freigeistin” (ranked thirteenth).

The Official German Charts are compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI). The charts cover 90 percent of all music sales, based on sales and usage data from approximately 2,600 retailers and outlets across all channels, including physical stores, e-commerce providers, download portals and streaming platforms.
