The Party’s Fate Hangs in the Balance, Just Weeks Before the State Election in Baden-Württemberg!

The Christian Democratic Union (CDU) has set the date for its next federal party convention in Stuttgart, just before the state election in Baden-Württemberg. According to CDU General Secretary Carsten Linnemann, the party will hold its convention on February 20 and 21 in Stuttgart, a few days before the first major election in 2026 in Baden-Württemberg.

The party will also hold a federal executive board meeting in Mainz on January 9 and 10, as the next state election in Germany is scheduled to take place in Rheinland-Pfalz in the following year. The party’s presidential council meeting is scheduled to take place on October 19 and 20 in Berlin, Linnemann announced.
