Military Operations in Tehran Target Regime and Repression Organs, Israel’s Defense Minister Says
In a recent operation, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reportedly targeted several key locations in the heart of Tehran, including the notorious Evin Prison, a facility notorious for holding political prisoners and regime opponents.
According to Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, the IDF is currently launching a fierce attack on the regime’s and state organs of repression in the center of Tehran. The targeted sites included the headquarters of the Basij Militia, the Evin Prison for political prisoners and regime opponents, the clock on the Palestine Square that reads “Destroy Israel”, the headquarters of the Revolutionary Guards and the Ideology Headquarters.
There were no initial reports of injuries among the prisoners at the Evin Prison, which appeared to be the intended goal of the attack: to enable the prisoners’ escape. The Evin Prison is renowned as the most well-known Iranian prison, infamous for the imprisonment and execution of political prisoners in Iran.
