Eintracht Braunschweig Secures Permanent Signing of Midfielder Lino Tempelmann from FC Schalke 04
Eintracht Braunschweig, a Second Division team, has announced the permanent signing of midfielder Lino Tempelmann from FC Schalke 04, a rival league opponent. The 26-year-old player had already spent the second half of the previous season on loan with the Löwen, during which he developed into a key performer.
In 18 appearances, Tempelmann scored seven goals and provided two assists, showcasing his significant impact on the team. He has now signed a contract with Eintracht Braunschweig until June 30, 2028, with the transfer details remaining undisclosed.
According to Sport-Geschäftsführer Benjamin Kessel, “Lino has demonstrated with his extremely strong performances in the second half of the season that he is a difference-maker in this league and he has also won over our fans’ hearts.” Kessel added that the team is delighted to have convinced Tempelmann to stay, despite strong interest from other clubs.
Tempelmann himself expressed his gratitude, stating, “I have always felt an extreme sense of appreciation here, paired with the social environment, which was certainly a key factor in my decision.
