Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has rejected demands from US President Donald Trump for an “unconditional surrender”. In a televised address on Wednesday, Khamenei stated, “The Iranians are not a people who surrender.”
Khamenei also criticized Israel, labelling its actions a “great mistake” and vowed that this mistake would be “punished”. He warned that any US military intervention would undoubtedly cause irreparable harm and condemned Trump’s “threatening and laughable remarks”.
Trump had earlier called for an “unconditional surrender” of the Islamic Republic on social media and according to reports, is also considering a military attack on Iran in support of Israel.
