Iraqi protesters again attacked the parliament.
Hundreds of followers of the influential Shiite religious leader stormed parliament for the second time this week to protest efforts by Iran-backed parties to form a government.
Iraqi security forces tried to prevent protesters from entering the parliament building using tear gas and smoke bombs.
There are thousands of people in the protest in the green area in Baghdad where the institutions are located. Before entering the parliament, they removed the barricades placed around that area.
Journalists reported that several people were injured. Shiite religious leader Moqtada Sadr called for a protest against the pro-Iranian government.
