Iran has reportedly launched over 100 drones in response to Israeli attacks on its nuclear facilities, heading towards Israel, according to an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson on Friday morning.
In the past hours, over 200 Israeli aircraft had struck more than 100 targets in Iran, using over 330 munition units. The IDF spokesperson did not reveal when the drones would reach Israel, but similar drones in April 2025 had taken several hours to do so.
In contrast to previous attacks in October 2024 and April 2025, which had Israel’s backing from a broad alliance, including the United States, the United Kingdom and France, it remains unclear if Israel can count on similar support this time, as the latest operation was a pre-emptive strike and US President Donald Trump had recently warned of a military strike.
