A German Court Receives Forensic-Psychiatric Assessment in Christmas Market Attack Case
The General Public Prosecutor’s Office in Naumburg has received a preliminary forensic-psychiatric report on the Christmas market attack in Magdeburg on December 20, 2024. The office announced this on Wednesday.
The expert had already submitted their opinion on June 6. The prosecutor’s office plans to provide more details on the report’s content in its final statement, which is expected to be released in the summer.
The arrest warrant for the suspect remains in effect. The General Public Prosecutor’s Office sees no reason to convert it into a temporary detention order.
